The Mahindra Scorpio 2011 is set to enter the Indian market in March 2011, and is pretty ready for it. Speculations have been floating that Mahindra is using their current Scorpio-based pickups as test platform to acquire the required EPA approving to homologate their mHawk 2.2-diesel diesel engine, without unveiling the engine to public.
The Mahindra Scorpio 2011 will be powered by a 2.2 ltr 4 cylinder turbocharged diesel engine generating maximum power of 120hp.The second generation will be a 4 x 4 SUV and will have the ability to reach 0 to 60 km/hr in 5.7 seconds. The combined fuel efficiency for the Scorpio 2011 will be of 26 mpg.
Apart from all these the Mahindra Scorpio 2011 will also be having plenty of safety features such as the antilock brake system, tubeless tyres, fire retardant upholstery, digital engine immobilizer etc. The car comes with crash protection crumple zone and Cruise control feature. The design variation for the new Scorpio includes Scorpio SLE, LX, VLX BSIV Micro Hybrid, VLX Automatic and VLX.
