BMW 3 Series 320d Corporate Edition – Brand New CE

Earlier the BMW 3 Series 320d Corporate Edition surely was not the vehicle for individuals; because of the fact that it was available only with fleet orders (minimum three cars should be bought). But now the Munich based manufacturer has decided to expand its reach among the corporate car buyers and hence has placed the 3 series CE for individual buying as well. So now is your chance to get the BMW 3 Series 320d Corporate Edition at a price that many of you might even not have imagined. The 3 Series CE will cost you ` 29.5 lakhs, which definitely is a figure many of you will think is a joke, but its not. So, now you can get the 3 Series CE `10 lakhs cheaper than the 3 Series Highline variant.

BMW is a brand known for its stunning styling and impressive performance, and this is the reason why one sees at the price of BMW 3 Series 320d Corporate Edition the suspicion comes naturally, and I am very sure you might also be asking, So, where’s the catch? So, here’s the deal, the BMW 3 Series 320d Corporate Edition that I am talking about here is the no-frills edition of 3 Series Highline, and doesn’t have all those advanced and modern gadgets and gizmos that you generally associates with the CE version. The car doesn’t have a Sunroof, headlight washer and Xenon lights; the 6 CD changer has been replaced by a single CD player. In addition to this all this new CE doesn’t have Bluetooth interface for your phone, you won’t get wood trims and the company even has stopped the USB interface.

All that said, the good news here is that the performance and the engine of the BMW 3 Series 320d Corporate Edition still is a real BMW engine and the moment you push that accelerator, you will get the joy and pleasure of owning a BMW. The new CE runs on a 4 cylinder 1995cc, CRDI (common-rail direct injection) diesel engine, which generates maximum power output of 179.45PS @4000rpm and 350Nm of maximum torque @1750-3000rpm. So, it’s clear that what the car lags in equipment department, makes up for that in the power and performance department and hence it definitely is not at all a big or bad deal.

So, if you want to own a BMW 3 Series 320d  Corporate Edition then now is your chance to make that happen with this all new BMW 3 Series CE.

Peugeot 309 Diesel – Superb Car For Indian Customers

Indian car market definitely is not the best place to launch fast and expensive cars, and that’s a well known fact among the car makers all over the world. The simple reason for this is the fact that the majority of car buyers in India are budget minded customers and the street conditions here are not suitable for low riding high speed mean machines.  This is the reason why when the Peugeot 309 Diesel was launched in the market it didn’t got the responsive as was expected for the car. At the time of launch the Peugeot 309 Diesel was considered as an expensive car and a car that will speed up on highways.

But while other expensive and fast cars were failing to withstand the Indian driving conditions the Peugeot 309 Diesel stood tall and I must say that was one of the finest cars of that time. This is the reason why the car even now is in huge demand among the used car buyers in modern market. The thing that made this Peugeot 309 Diesel one of the finest cars of all time was the fact that despite possessing immense luxury and performance features the build quality of the car was not compromised here and the car had great build quality internally as well as externally.

The exteriors for the car were impeccably designed and the car had an eye-catching design which was sufficient to grab attention of any onlooker and at the same was sufficient to catch the attention of modern customers. The huge ground clearance of the Peugeot 309 Diesel gave it an aggressive look and at the same time makes it compatible with Indian driving conditions. So if you are looking for a fast car that is ideally suited to Indian driving condition then the Peugeot 309 Diesel definitely is a superb alternative worth considering.

Honda Accord VTi-L [MT] – High-End Luxury For Your Family

Not many of the high end luxury cars in Indian cars can match the success and prominence that the Honda Accord VTi-L [MT] has achieved and the car now clearly is one of the most preferred high end luxury cars. Though we won’t say that the car is an exciting car to own, but then if you want excitement and adrenaline pumping then shopping in the premium family sedan segment is a wrong thought. The Accord VTi-L might not be the most exciting car in the market, but as far as space and comfort for your family is concerned, we will say that the car is really spacious and offers superb comfort on every day and long drives.

One major problem that I feel, and that almost every will agree to it is the fact that the built quality has never been the forte of Japanese cars, and the Honda Accord VTi-L [MT] is no exception. The car might look strong and great, but as far as the built quality for the car is concerned, we were not at all happy with that. This becomes pretty apparent when the car is taken on some rough Indian terrains. So you definitely will not want to take the car to any of your weekend outings on a farm or in the outskirts of the cities.
The best thing about the Honda Accrod VTi-L [MT] is the fact that despite the 4 cylinder engines under the hood the car performs superbly and with the engine pumping maximum of 142bhp at rated 6300rpm and maximum torque of 20kgm at rated 5000rpm, the car gets respectable fuel efficiency, performance and acceleration. The car handles well on road and holds it well, and that is something you really wants in a car with a price tag that of the Accord. The car also comes loaded with plethora of modern equipments such as superb music system, and other modern equipments that will enhance the feel inside and will also elevate your comfort level comfortable.

So, with this all if you are shopping in the high end premium segment of Indian car market, considering the Honda Accrod VTi-L [MT] definitely is a car worth considering, and you must try this. The car really is an immensely advanced, potent and value for money modern luxury sedan, offering plethora of features and amenities to modern customers.

ICML Rhino Rx Xciter CRDFi 9 Seater BS III

Utility vehicles are getting great success in Indian market, and the modern customers are largely attracted towards these models, and the ICML Rhino Rx Xciter CRDFi 9 Seater BS III is a fine example of this. If truth be told, I was eagerly waiting for the ICML Rhino Rx Xciter CRDFi 9 Seater BS III, and so I was quick enough to manage a test ride of it. But contradicting with my eagerness, the ride of Rhino Rx Xciter was rather dull, with almost no positives. So, it is worth saying that the Rhino Rx Xciter was not at all what I expected it too be.

As soon as you get inside the ICML Rhino Rx Xciter CRDFi 9 Seater BS III you will feel like you’ve stepped inside a luxurious taxi. The diesel engine under the hood of the car makes it presence felt as soon as you turn on the ignition, and as you put your accelerator you will feel the difference between this utility vehicle and other utility vehicles. The accelerator is a tad awkwardly placed and feels as if you are driving a tractor. The same is the case with steering wheel positioning as well, the steering is not at all comfortable to hold. This makes it uncomfortable during long ride, and considering the fact that this is a utility vehicle which is suppose to be taken on long rides, this is really bad feature.

The biggest disappointment came in the form of poor performance and considering the fact that the vehicle is a utility vehicle the poor ride quality of the vehicle is a real disappointment. Even the comfort level for the occupants has been compromised here. So in general the is just another bland utility vehicle intended for casual home buyers

Honda CR-V 2.4 MT – Potent But Pricey

In simple words I would like to start covering the Honda CR-V 2.4 MT by saying, these are the perfect dimensions for Indian driving conditions. Now, let’s start. Indian streets are not exactly conducive for SUV driving and that is the reason why not many of the auto makers launch SUVs in Indian market. But the very few SUVs that have succeeded in making an impact on Indian audiences include the Honda CR-V 2.4 MT that we are covering here. The Honda CR-V offers superb visibility and comfort to the driver with its tailor-made driver seat. The interiors of the SUV have been aesthetically designed and high class material has been used to offer immense amount of luxury to the Indian customers in market. The interior and exterior styling of the SUV is typical of Honda, and is clean and stylish. The power driver seat is really convenient. The steering wheel is robust and feels really great to hold.

The all new Honda CR-V 2.4 MT enters the market with absolute refreshed look, and sports a brand new 2-step front grille, front bumper design, a re-sculpted hood and oval shape fog lamps. Even in terms of dimensions, the new CR-V is around 45mm longer than its precursor and measures around 4575 mm in length, though it retains the same height, width, ground and head clearance space. Among some other improvements for the vehicle includes the entrance of a brand new 10-spoke alloy wheel design, which takes place of the previous 7-spoke alloy wheel design.

The New Honda CR-V 2.4 MT comes with 2 engine options, which are the same ones that were powering the outgoing models - the 2.4 litre and 2.0 ltr petrol engines. The 2.4 litre engine of Honda CR-V 2.4 MT is a 2354cc i-VTEC and generates maximum power of 159 bhp @5800 rpm and maximum torque of 218 Nm @4200 rpm. Both the engines make sure that you get a pleasing ride without any glitches.

The only problem with the new Honda CR-V 2.4 MT is its price tag, especially considering the fact that its rivals like Chevrolet Captiva, Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. This probably is the reason why many of budget buyers won’t consider the new CR-V as their next SUV option and many of the rich class customers will go for more feature rich options available in market. This could be a huge drawback for the CR-V and only Honda loyalists are suppose to go for the new CR-V. The primary reason for the high price of CR-V is the fact that it is being imported directly from Japan as a CBU (Completely Build-Up Unit).

So considering all these factors we would like to say that the all new Honda CR-V 2.4 MT is a potent but pricey option for the hardcore SUV lovers in market.

Suzuki SX4 Diesel – Potent and Fast

The Suzuki SX4 entered the market a couple or years back, and with its heavy built and huge size the car was launched in the market with a tag line of “male among cars”, which according to me personifies the car very well. The SX4 got great response from the market and soon became an obvious choice for the people looking for a heavy sedan for Indian roads. Counting on the success of Suzuki SX4 petrol version, the company has now introduced the Suzuki SX4 Diesel, which again is a great option for the people looking for affordable yet potent sedan in Indian market.

The Suzuki SX4 diesel will be having a 1.3 liter Multijet diesel engine with VGT under its hood, and this engine from Fiat has everything that you expect from a potent and efficient diesel engine. The Suzuki SX4 diesel will be competing against the likes of Fiat Linea, Volkswagen Vento and Honda City, so the entry might have been easy for the Suzuki SX4 Diesel, but the road to success surely wont be all that easy and the car will be facing some tough competition.

In terms of drive the Suzuki SX4 diesel gives a great feel with almost comparatively less noise inside the cabin. The engine noise is a tad more than what we heard in Fiat Linea, but the good news here is that the Maruti Suzuki SX4 diesel is faster than Linea, and that definitely can be attributed to the comparatively light body of the car. It should be noted that the Suzuki SX4 diesel The 1.3L turbocharged engine of the car generates maximum power of 90bhp and has all the properties that are required for a diesel engine car.

Apart from the Fiat 1.3L engine under the hood of Suzuki SX4 Diesel, there isn’t any major changes in the car. If truth be told the Suzuki SX4 diesel has almost the same looks as we’ve seen in its petrol siblings and the ZDi comes with the same features such as the Dual SRS Airbags, EBD, ABS, steering mounted Audio Controls, beige interiors and 16 inch alloys.

The Suzuki SX4 diesel will be an excellent option for the diesel engine loving Indian customers and will be a tough competition for its rivals. The SX4 diesel already has entered the market, and if you are thinking of buying one, then you’ll have to pay around `70,000/- more than the petrol Suzuki SX4.
