Fiat Linea 1.6 Multijet - A Possibility In Late 2011

“Admiration Guaranteed”, this is what the tag line of the Fiat Linea advertisement in India says, and I must say that it’s pretty true; and it becomes apparent with the increasing sales figures for Linea. The design and styling of Linea has been appreciated all over the India, and considering the fact that the car comes with an affordable price tag, many of the potential customers have Linea on top of their priority lists. This is the reason why the Italian auto motive major Fiat; have decided to launch a Fiat Linea 1.6 Multijet version of the car in Indian market. This might have opened the eyes of Linea fanatics really big, isn’t it?

The Fiat Linea 1.6 multijet versions will target the performance oriented customers in market and will give its rivals a run for their money. The Fiat Linea 1.6 will be powered by a 1.6 Litre Multijet engine, which is one of the most advanced engines from Fiat and is immensely high tech. The power for the Fiat Linea 1.6 will comes from a 1600 cc 4-cylinder 16 valve common rail turbo diesel engine, which will be available in two forms viz.,  105 bhp turbocharged version and a VGT (Variable Geometry Turbocharger) version generating an impressive power of 120 bhp and in excess of 300 nm of torque. The engine will be immensely low on maintenance, and as per the figures that have came out the engine has service interval of in excess of 35000 kms in Europe, we wont say that it will be the same in India as well, but you can expect something closer or around that in India as well.

The one that that definitely will entice many of the Indian customers for the Fiat Linea 1.6 is the fact that the fuel efficiency of the engine could very well be equal to or better than the 1.3 Multijet engines that is currently pumping under its hood. The estimated price tag for the 1.6 Linea, when it enters the Indian market in late 2011 is expected to be around 9 to 9.5 Lakhs Ex-Showroom. So, all the Linea fanatics in the market if you want a even better, even more powerful, and even more potent Linea for you then the Fiat Linea 1.6 is your chance to make that happen.
